Awhile ago I wrote an article for the Argus Courier on a special project of the Petaluma High School metal shop, The students were honored when Council for Community Television produced a video with them - then in May they got another award! These students made a long-lasting contribution to downtown Petaluma - Victorian-style benches, bicycle bollards and attractive recycling/waste receptacles.

Love was all you need! The Human Be-In, January, 1967
Jan. 14, 1967 - Today would be
the first ever and really only real - Human Be-In in Golden Gate Park
- and we were traveling gypsy-style with a gang of friends including
neighbors from the San Francisco Mime Troupe, various political friends
and communards. It was too early in the morning but like on anti-war demonstration days, my then husband, the blond, brilliant and beautiful
Dennis Wood, and I were too excited to sleep in anyway.
